Are dogs allowed to race?
--Unfortunately, the USATF (USA Track and Field) the sanctioning body of this race does not allow for dogs to run along side runners in this race. For more information visit usatf.org.
Are strollers allowed to race?
--Yes, strollers are always welcome in the SSF5k/10k.

--Please be sure to review the runner packet prior to the race for full race day parking details.
What are the age group category divisions used for awards?
--The age groups for this race are awarded for both male and female as follows:
0-8yrs, 9-12yrs, 13-15yrs, 16-19yrs, 20-24yrs, 25-29yrs, 30-34yrs, 35-39yrs, 40-44yrs, 45-49yrs, 50-54yrs, 55-59yrs, 60-64yrs, 65-69yrs, 70-74yrs, 74-79yrs, 80+yrs
I didn't pick up my award after the race, can you mail it to me?
--Our awards ceremony features announcements made at the conclusion of the race. Award winners must be present at the ceremony. Awards will not be mailed after the race.
What is the time limit for the race?
--The course will be open and supported for 90 minutes. Runner safety is everyone’s top priority. Local police, EMTs and an ambulance will be available for 2 hours to help ensure everyone enjoys the day - and remains safe.
Are the roads open to traffic?
The SSF5k is run on the trail systems around Lake Hefner, but the adjacent roads are open to traffic. Volunteers will monitor and control traffic along the parking areas of the route.

Can I get a refund or transfer to another race if I registered but can't run?
--No, all registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once you have registered for a race, your entry fees are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable under any and all circumstances, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the event or of your participation.
Can I exchange or transfer my race entry to another runner if I registered but can't run?
--No. Exchanges or transfers of race entry to other non-registered runners are not permitted. Violators of this policy will be disqualified from the race and will not be permitted to run at future events.
Can I be guaranteed my shirt size?
--Yes, if you REGISTER ONLINE in advance. Race-day registrations are NOT guaranteed sizes. Shirts are ordered well in advance and the sizes provided are entered into the registration software to only allow so many of each size. For the best chance of receiving your preferred size, be sure to sign up online as early as possible. Shirts will not be mailed.
What if there is a storm or inclement weather on race day?
--There is no rain/snow date for this race. The race director reserves the right to modify the start time or cancel the race in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances that make the race unsafe.
